She is a humble and outgoing person who has had a number of fortunate breaks in the entertainment business. She embodies the definition of a lady who can do it all, especially considering that she has worked in practically every field in the industry. Currently, she is pursuing a literary career while also working as a model, actor, television host, and radio hostess.

She began modeling when she was a child and has competed in a lot of pageants throughout her career. Pearl was named Miss KwaZulu-Natal in 2005 and was the first runner-up in the Miss South African Teen competition in 2003.

It was in 2006 that the Durban beauty gained national attention as a presenter on SABC 3's iCrew. As soon as she graduated from high school, she traveled to Johannesburg to continue her education at Wits University. Pearl continued to work on her modeling and acting jobs even while she was attending college.
